Ocean Awareness APP GAMES
Two of our team members created APP games to spread awareness on Typhoon Mawar.

Aiden's game was created to inform people how much plastic ends up in the ocean in an interesting way. The game accomplishes this by the objective being the diver picking up the trash, and at the end, showing statistics about how much plastic is being thrown into the ocean.

Jaeyoung invented a game using MIT Inventor, to destroy the typhoons that spawn around the screen randomly. Once you destroy 20 typhoons, the game ends with a title screen saying “You Won! The background is Guam in the typhoon, which is dark and damaged. All the sprites that were used were the head and the typhoon.
I made this game through Scratch because ocean plastic has become a rising issue within the world. This game was created to inform people how much plastic ends up in the ocean in an interesting way. The game accomplishes this by the objective being the diver picking up the trash, and at the end, showing statistics about how much plastic is being thrown into the ocean. You can move the character by using the arrow keys or the WASD keys. The trash will disappear when the diver touches them. Please avoid the waves, as they will reduce one life point.

On May 19, 2023, a powerful, cloudy typhoon hit the northern tip of Guam, at a 140 km wind speed. This massive typhoon raged on for 16 days, and had damaged many buildings,worth up to 250 million dollars, tipped over trees, and destroyed nature. But most people aren’t aware about this typhoon, typhoon Mawar.

Using Mit App Inventor, I wanted to spread awareness about this tragedy. I made a simple game, where you play as a head, where you can fling to move the character, and when the sprite touches an edge, it bounces.
