Guam emerges to find ‘major mess’ from Typhoon Mawar

The United States territory of Guam is suffering from the damage after the Typhoon Mawar. The Typhoon Mawar swept the whole island with the strong wind and strong rain. The storm’s eye passed the central and northern parts of the island which caused more than 2 feet of rain to rain on the central and northern parts. Trees and Cars are flipped and broken by the strong wind. Because of the Category 4 storm, the Guam international airport flooded, resulting in canceling all the flights. The Dusit Thani Guam Resort reported that about 30 cm of water flooded in the lobby, and outside of the hotel they can see trees broken by the super strong winds. The Guam Power Authority said more than a thousand homes were out of power.  According to the people in Guam, walls, windows, and doors were shaking from the huge winds. 

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties or injuries from the Typhoon. The residents in Guam said the main problem is cleaning up because it will take some time. Guam governor Lou Leon Gurrero said, they will help the major damages or they will clean up the things that are blocking the roadways.
