Why Does Guam Have So Many Typhoons?
Guam has many powerful typhoons. But why? It is because Guam lies in the path of the typhoon belt. The typhoon belt is a large part of the pacific ocean where a lot of underwater volcanic eruptions and earthquakes happen. Typhoons form when winds blow at a face pace when there is warm water below. The cold air picks up moisture and the wind blows below. This causes pressure and Makes the wind blow quickly, which results in a typhoon. The typhoon belt has warm water due to volcanic activity, which makes it the best environment for typhoons to form.
Is it Safe to go to Guam?
With so many storms and typhoons, you might think that going on a vacation to Guam was not a great idea. But typhoons usually come only once a year, and floods hit the shore.
